When I first started coming to events put on by the Professional Photographers of Colorado, I didn’t know anyone and felt pretty shy about introducing myself to new folks. However, it didn’t take me very long to get to know a lot of great people who became friends and colleagues.
After a few years I was approached to be on the board, of which I agreed and enjoyed putting together educational events for the members. It also gave me the opportunity to get to know some great speakers and vendors in the industry.
After a couple of years of not being on the board but still wishing to be part of it all, in December of 2007, I agreed to come back onto the board as Treasurer to help bring back our organization from the hardships we were working to overcome. |
