About the event
This is a demo program, not a Photoshop class. The program is aimed at those already proficient with layers, layer masks , building actions, and the use of basic retouching tools. Based on what we know about the PPC and Guild group, that should be about everyone.
I am going to use my veteran portraits as the vehicle for this program. They are all low key, dark images, especially of the men. The women get a somewhat lighter approach.
The main things we will cover is how to get “life” in the eyes, dodging and burning to accentuate the lighting, skin corrections that bring out detail (this is NOT “beauty retouching,”) using the LUT Adjustment Layer for color grading an image, and using composites for backgrounds.
Note: This is on our regularly scheduled 2nd Thursday of the month, the workshop is a week early in March.
