Photographing and appreciating wildlife in Colorado
We have all taken some epic trips to far-flung locations: to photograph lions in Africa, tigers in India or polar bears in Norway (Oh My!). But while we’re busy renewing our passports, we’re often overlooking the world-class drama unfolding in our own zip code.
Evergreen professional photographer Ellen Nelson, M.Photog, CPP and 2025 World Photographic Cup finalist will entice you to look local; to the Colorado wildlife and opportunities you may have missed that are right outside your door. . .or at least nearby. She’ll reveal some of her favorite wildlife locations, the best time to find them, what to wear (yes, that can be a thing), animal behavior and your behavior.
