Hello PPC friends! 👋 If we haven’t officially met yet, I’m Melissa Stynski, and I’m honored to serve as the Social Media Manager for Professional Photographers of Colorado.

I’ve been a professional photographer for over 15 years and am the owner of Life Photography by Melissa in Colorado Springs. I specialize in maternity, newborn, family, and senior photography, but beyond running my own studio, I’m incredibly passionate about community, education, and helping photographers connect and grow together. Being part of PPC has played a big role in my own journey, and I’m excited to give back in this way.
What I Do as Social Media Manager
My role is to help tell the story of PPC — your story.
This includes:
Sharing updates about PPC events, classes, workshops, and conferences
Highlighting member achievements, degrees, awards, and milestones
Promoting educational opportunities and community gatherings
Celebrating the creativity, talent, and wins of photographers across Colorado
Helping keep our online presence engaging, informative, and welcoming
If it’s happening within PPC or within our photography community, I want to help share it.
How You Can Be Featured or Share Content
One of the best parts of this role is getting to showcase you.
If you have something you’d like shared on PPC’s social media — whether it’s:
Images from a PPC event
Behind-the-scenes moments
Award announcements or degrees earned
Member spotlights
Community gatherings or collaborations
Educational wins or milestones
Please send them my way!
You can submit photos, videos, or information by:
Messaging me PPC on social media
Emailing the organization (and it will be passed along to me) president.ppcolorado@gmail.com
Or reaching out directly if you have my contact information
When sending content, it’s helpful to include:
Photographer name(s)
Event or context
Any relevant credits
What you’d like shared (announcement, celebration, recap, etc.)
Don’t worry about making it perfect — I’m happy to help polish captions or format posts as needed.
Why This Matters
Social media is more than just promotion — it’s connection. It’s how we:
Celebrate each other’s successes
Encourage new members
Build excitement around learning
Strengthen the photography community across Colorado
The more you share, the more we can collectively highlight the incredible talent and heart within PPC.
Let’s Stay Connected
I’m truly grateful to serve in this role and to work alongside such a talented, supportive group of photographers. If you ever have ideas, suggestions, or content you’d like to see shared — please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Here’s to learning, growing, celebrating, and continuing to build an amazing photography community together.
Warmly,
Melissa Stynski Social Media Manager Professional Photographers of Colorado
